Wells & Vision isn't just an eye care practice, it's the fulfillment of a dream that began when Dr. Greta Gregg was a little girl.

Greta was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where her parents made the life-changing decision to leave behind everything they knew to build a better future for their daughter in the United States. They sacrificed their home, careers, and community so she could have opportunities they never had. That courage and resilience became the foundation for the way Greta approaches both life and patient care today.

From an early age, Greta knew she wanted to help people. When she discovered optometry, she immediately felt a deep connection to the profession. Helping people see the world more clearly felt meaningful in every sense of the word. Through years of education, residency training, teaching, and clinical leadership, one dream remained constant: to one day create a practice centered around exceptional care, genuine compassion, and meaningful human connection.

That dream grew even stronger when she met Josh, her high school sweetheart and now husband and partner in bringing Wells & Vision to life. Josh shared Greta's vision from the very beginning and committed himself to helping build something truly special for the community they love.

For more than a decade, River North has been the backdrop of their life together. It's where they built their relationship, created lasting friendships, and eventually started a family of their own. It's where they spent years imagining the future they hoped to build together, both personally and professionally. Opening Wells & Vision here felt deeply personal because this neighborhood has always felt like home.

Together, they envisioned a boutique, tech-forward optometry practice where modern diagnostics meet warm, personalized care. A place where busy professionals, families, and neighbors feel welcomed the moment they walk through the door. A place where patients are treated with the time, attention, and respect Greta always believed healthcare should provide.
